In our last post we discussed 5 benefits of the ‘fixed height’ Toscana. This week however, it’s all about our variable height cantilever parasol – The Piazza.

The Piazza is our largest side arm parasol, featuring both a worm screw gear system to vary the height of the mainarm, and a winch to open and close the canopy independently.

Here are 5 reasons why we love the Piazza:

  1. Variety

The key feature of the Piazza is its ability to vary the canopy height from 5ft to around 10ft. In real terms this means that you can have the canopy set rather cozily just above head height in the cooler evenings, or much higher to accommodate outwardly opening bi-fold doors in the summer.

There is also a tilt feature which allows you to 'dip' the front edge of the canopy downwards for even greater variation and protection from the elements.

Wells Umbrellas can supply canopies for the Piazza in a large variety of sizes. Whilst 4m square and 5m x 4m canopies are the most popular, other sizes available are:

Despite the level of adjustment that you have with a variable height cantilever parasol, the Piazza is incredibly easy to use. Once we’ve installed your parasol we’ll walk you through all of the features, and ensure you’re happy with how it all works.

  1. Ease of Installation

Whether you choose to go in-ground, surface, or a bolt down, installation of the Piazza base is incredibly easy and usually takes around half a day at most. It's also possible to have multiple bases installed in several locations, so that you always have the option of where to place the parasol.
